MY EYE MEDIA TAPS INTO SOHONET
BURBANK, Calif., July 21, 2009 — My Eye Media has chosen Sohonet as its dedicated, ultra-high-speed global media network.
The announcement was made by My Eye Media CEO Michael Kadenacy, who said the company went online with Sohonet on June 16.
The Sohonet Media Network allows My Eye Media to quickly and safely exchange high-density and rich media files and collaborate on workflows via fiber optic cable. My Eye Media has connected to the Sohonet Media Network at 1Gbit/s in Los Angeles and will look to add further connections at future sites worldwide.
“The addition of Sohonet’s services is a real game-changer for us,” Kadenacy said. “Not only do we now have the ability to connect at full Gigabit speed with every postproduction house already on Sohonet’s media network, but we also have a full 100-Megabyte connection to the Internet, which allows us to make high-speed connection to everyone else. Additionally, My Eye Media gains guaranteed, uncontested bandwidth to clients and related companies currently using the Sohonet Media Network, presenting expanded opportunities to collaborate on domestic and international projects while bypassing timeframe, file conversion, shipping and security concerns.
